My little girl is 5 months old...

...& we love you so much! you are the sweetest little baby i've ever met & already are so silly. you smile & giggle all the time, so happy :) we had your first christmas & it snowed! spent it with family in dallas & then went back to springfield to visit family & friends there. you did amazing in the car considering our drive there involved a blowout tire & an 11 hr. trip instead of 6. you tried your first food, avocado, and loved it. now we are on sweet potatoes & you are feeding yourself. no rice cereal filler for this girl, only healthy, fresh fruits & veggies. you are rolling over & working on sitting up. you've started moving your walker around the room, so funny that you throw your arms up & are so proud of yourself. you like watching sesame street & giggle to yourself. you've been a lot more verbal lately & like to talk about things & listen to your voice. you play games like hiding your face when dad teases you. you grab onto everything you can reach & are fascinated by all the different textures. you love bath time & sticking your head under the water. you are constatly grabbing at your feet. we love you, can't imagine 2013 could get any better than 2012, but we are looking forward to the year & all the love & happiness that you bring to our lives :)

Holiday gifts...

...have begun. I was early on the Christmas cards this year, but wanted to make sure they got sent out on time with everything else going on & because it's little m's first holiday season :) thanks to my brother for taking her cute pics, she was peaceful baby as usual. looking at her picture on the card just makes me smile, love her! Finished decorating the house, stitching our names onto the stockings this weekend. & finished wrapping the gifts for the girl's holiday party gift exchange. thought i would do something a little different than the traditional gift wrap so i used some fabric i had, turned out pretty cute i think with the stamped cards. more holiday cheer to come...

Decorating...

...for the holidays has begun. I didn't have the energy to do it last year because of morning sickness, so this year we are doing it up right. M loves the twinkling lights, so do the dogs. I have to monogram our stockings & a couple other handmades, but the tree is up most importantly. I don't like to clutter the house up with a bunch of stuff, just some special little items around the house for holiday cheer. More pics to come, but such a fun time & look forward to ending this year in celebration of no better gift than our little M :)

4 months old...

...& growing. you are such a good girl & getting so big. you weighed 16lbs, 7 oz at your checkup. you have a lot to say lately, smile & laugh a lot & are still sleeping like a champ. no teeth yet, but your hands are always in your mouth so you drool a lot. you grab for everything, are starting to roll over & push up on your tummy to look around at everything. you love your walker that makes noise & smacking on the keys is one of your favorite things. you went on your first roadtrip to abilene for thanksgiving & you did awesome! slept the whole way, both ways, except for the last 30 minutes but you just sucked on your hands & talked to yourself. you also slept in your pack n play both nights without a problem. Grandpa came to visit, he made you laugh with his funny voices. Uncle Steve came by to visit & you spit up on his head, haha. We did your Christmas photo shoot, celebrated my birthday, dressed up for Halloween & went on walks with the puppies. You are such a good girl, ,we love you.
