This week...

...has been a great one so far! Your dad & I got married, we were so excited & so blessed to have you there to share in the happiness, wouldn't have it any other way! Even though it was simple & a bit unconventional, it was so special...it's about the love & happiness in a marriage & a family more than anything...we are so lucky to have that. Now we have a fun destination family trip to look forward to this winter, you are going to love the beach : ) your bday is almost here, can't wait! We sent out the cutest invitations, family & friends are coming, it's going to be a wonderful celebration. You have changed so much even in the last few weeks...you have a silly little sense of humor, you pretend to go back to sleep in the morning when we come to get you, you fake cough so we will ask if you are ok, you grin & look out the corner of your eye before you try to do something you aren't supposed to, shake your head, say 'no' & smile & you have invented the coolest dance move, we call it the 'salt & pepper shake' where you grab your hands together, shake them back & forth & then up & down...you make us laugh. You eat anything we give you including hummus, lentils, veggie burger, kale/collard greens, tomato with basil/mozzarella & so much more...healthy girl! You love smiling & squishing your face into the things you love, like your B or your favorite stuffed animals. You really have an understanding & love for animals & they can sense it, you are so gentle, observe how they interact without interfering & respect their space. You love playing with my old toys that I had when I was little & enjoy anything that you can move, especially turning the lights off & on. I made a little book corner for you in the living room this weekend, you like hanging out in there & sitting on your little chair. You really are amazing & such a special girl, lovey lovey xo

Your 1 year photo shoot...

...was fun & the pics turned out so beautiful! We had Zoe Dennis take our family photos & your 1 yr pics. she has a great eye for simple, in the moment, lovely shots & really knows how to use the light...she was just the right fit for what we've been looking for in a photographer. I will cherish these pics forever...it's been the best year of our lives, it's so much better now that you are in it. Xo

11 months old...

...& you are a little explorer! You are so curious about everything around you, want to do things yourself, mimic what we do & are climbing up a storm. You climbed up to the top of Mimi's stairs & were so proud of yourself. You give hugs & kisses, are playing so well by yourself, are dancing & bouncing around when you get happy or when the music comes on. You know how to make some animal noises...like a kitty, dog & cow. You absolutely love the pool & swimming around, are getting ready to get your top teeth & have the best laugh I've ever heard. It was dad's birthday week, we had lots of fun & you had your first sleep over away from us since you've been born...it was extremely difficult for me, we had a hard time leaving each other, but you did so well, so proud of you & was so excited to see you this morning! I look forward to every day with you, each moment is such a blessing. Xo
